1 Suspect arrested for business break in and stock worth R70 000 recovered.
On Sunday 10 December 2021 a break in was reported at Nation Overalls in the Bon Accord area.
Shoes and protective clothing was taken to the value of R100 000. On Wednesday, 2021-01-13 the Sinoville crime prevention unit received information from NCA about the break in. The information was followed up that led to a locked shack.
Inquiries were made and 1 male suspect were identified by the community who knew about the contents in the shack.
Inside the shack, a huge amount of shoes and clothing were found. The suspect could not give a reasonable explanation and were arrested.
The items were identified by the complainant in the matter.
While the complainant went through the items, it was found that some of the clothing was taken on a previous break in at the business in March 2020.
The total amount of clothing recovered is estimated to be R70 000.
The suspect will be charged for possession of suspected stolen property.
