NCA SUCCESS REPORT
GP RESPONSE TEAM
26 February 2026
Responder visiting a local supermarket in Helikonpark, Randfontein, the Responder observed four male individuals, approximately 18 to 23 years of age, standing outside the store consuming alcohol. The individuals were drinking beer and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. Upon entering the store, the Responder observed that one of the individuals was behaving in an aggressive and confrontational manner towards the store owner. The owner, who is personally known to the Responder, requested assistance in removing the individual from the premises, as he was causing a disturbance among customers, including minors present in the store. The Responder approached the group and informed them that consuming alcohol outside the store was not permitted. Three of the individuals apologised and removed their alcohol from the premises. The fourth individual became confrontational and spoke aggressively at close range. The Responder intervened and escorted him away from the entrance. The situation was swiftly neutralised without further incident. The Responder subsequently requested EPR Reaction to monitor the premises. The situation remained under observation, and the four individuals did not return.
NCA extends its sincere appreciation to all role players for their prompt response, effective coordination, and excellent cooperation, which contributed to the successful management of this incident.
