NCA SUCCESS REPORT
GP RESPONSE TEAM
04 April 2026

An NCA member received an urgent call for medical assistance in Danville, Pretoria West. Upon arrival on scene, the member found an approximately 25-year-old male unresponsive but still breathing at the time. The patient was lying with his legs and feet on the tar road and his upper body on the grass. Gauteng Ambulance Services were dispatched (IER Ref: 100857). Shortly thereafter, the patient stopped breathing, and medics on scene-initiated CPR. A Metro Police officer on scene advised that CPR be discontinued due to the absence of any response, breathing, or pulse. The NCA member then requested assistance from the South African Police Service (SAPS). Gauteng Ambulance unit A1281 arrived on scene for official declaration. All relevant role players, including SAPS Pretoria West Detectives and Forensic Pathology Services, attended the scene. Once all procedures were completed, the scene was cleared and all services stood down.

NCA extends its sincere appreciation to all role players for their prompt response, effective coordination, and professional cooperation, which contributed to the successful handling of this incident.
