NCA SUCCESS REPORT

A NCA Responder received a report regarding a truck that had arrived at a scrapyard in Bothaville, suspected to be linked to a copper theft that occurred approximately two weeks prior. Upon investigation, the copper was positively identified by the repair business from which it had originally been stolen. One suspect was arrested on scene; however, it was later established that he was not the primary individual involved. Another suspect was positively identified in connection with the theft. The arrested suspect was taken into custody by the South African Police Service (SAPS), and the business owner will proceed with opening a formal case. Responders subsequently cleared the scene.
