NCA SUCCESS REPORT
FS RESPONSE TEAM
27 MAY 2026

A case was reported on the reaction group regarding a truck that allegedly stole a load of maize meal and was travelling in the direction of Bothaville from the Bultfontein area. Responders positioned themselves near the Commando Drift turn-off in preparation for deployment. While preparing to act, a truck matching the provided description passed at high speed. The responder immediately initiated pursuit and, near the railway crossing on the R30, successfully positioned behind the vehicle. Through coordination with another responder, the trailer registration number was confirmed. A visual inspection of the cargo matched the reported description, positively identifying the vehicle. The South African Police Service (SAPS) was contacted and responded promptly. A case number was obtained and all relevant details, together with client information, were handed over to SAPS on scene. SAPS subsequently assumed control of the incident scene. At the request of SAPS, NCA members escorted the vehicle from the R30 to the police station. All units thereafter stood down. The truck was secured at the station, and the suspect was taken into custody. SAPS will proceed with further investigation.

NCA extends its sincere appreciation to all role players for their swift response, effective coordination, and professional cooperation, which ensured efficient and professional incident management.
