NCA SUCCESS REPORT

NCA Responders received information from a member of the public reporting a suspect allegedly armed with a large knife, attempting to rob children in the area. A responder was immediately activated to provide assistance. Upon arrival at the reported location, no suspects were found. The responder continued patrolling the area when a suspicious vehicle was observed driving recklessly in oncoming traffic. Members of the public assisted the responder in identifying and stopping the suspect vehicle. The responder contacted the South African Police Service (SAPS), and the Bothaville local community response group was also activated. The suspect vehicle made a U-turn and returned to the area where it had allegedly been taken at knifepoint in front of FNB. The vehicle was successfully recovered, and SAPS placed the suspect under arrest. The South African Police Service Crime Scene Services (SCRS) will conduct further forensic investigation, including fingerprint processing. The responder extends appreciation to members of the public and Alarm Pro for their valuable assistance in tracking and stopping the suspect.
