GP RESPONSE TEAM

At approximately 11:45 a.m., a call was received requesting assistance at an open ditch on Artillery Road, where power cables had been stolen overnight.
Upon arrival, NCA Response Team members found that the CMS Investigation team was already on-site. The power cable in the trench was active, and a regular explosion could be heard. After making several calls, a representative from the City of Tshwane arrived and coordinated the shutdown of power at the substation.
At 17:34, a TLB arrived with 30 meters of replacement cable, and repair work commenced immediately. By 18:42, NCA Response Team members withdrew from the scene.
