On 29 July 2025, a message was received from a woman requesting assistance after encountering a potentially unsafe situation.
The woman was in her driveway, in front of her gate, when a suspicious man appeared behind her car. The individual was disguised and holding an empty bottle.
The woman chose not to exit her vehicle or open the gate and immediately contacted NCA. The suspicious person then moved from behind the vehicle to the opposite side of the road. While the suspect moved away, the Dispatcher asked the woman relevant safety questions. Once it was deemed safe, she was instructed to drive to a secure location and wait for further instructions.
A Responder was dispatched to the residential address. Upon arrival, the suspect was no longer present. The area was patrolled and found to be clear and safe. The woman was informed that it was safe to return home, where the Responder awaited her arrival.
The woman safely returned to her residence, a report of the incident was completed, and the Responder withdrew from the scene.
