SSG control room dispatched on duty security officer and responder to Vrede Street in Duncanville because the client needed assistance after he caught 2 suspects trying to steal a diesel tank from his truck. On arrival the client showed me the 2 suspects. One is a well known suspect and his friend, sitting next to the truck. The client explained that he saw movement on his camera and went outside, saw the two suspects and managed to catch them. The diesel tank were nearly unscrewed, back up arrived on scene and search the suspects, we found bolts belonging to the tank and we could see that copper wires were also cut. One of the suspects made a confession implicating the other. SAPS were notified, on arrival scene was handed over.
Suspects arrested and taken to Vereeniging SAPS.
