NCA SUCCESS REPORT
FS RESPONSE TEAM
28/09/2025

Responders were dispatched to a farm in the Bothaville district. The homeowner had returned from church and found that both the house and the storeroom doors were open. A bakkie (pickup truck) and a tractor were missing from the yard.

The bakkie was identified, and information indicated that it was out in the crop field, where it had gotten stuck.

Responders arrived on the scene and found that members of Rural Safety were already present. Responders then assisted by cordoning off the area.

Footprints of a person on foot were found. Responders moved to a lookout point together with Rural Safety, while other members followed the tracks in the direction of the lookout point.

The tracks led into a wooded area approximately 200 meters before the lookout point. Rural Safety followed the tracks into the bush and identified the suspect, upon which the cordon was tightened, moving closer to the bush. A suspect was arrested by Rural Safety.

The SAPS was on the scene, and the scene was handed over to them. Responders withdrew from the scene.

NCA would like to thank all the role players present for their participation.
