Members received information regarding a burglary at the residence of a female complainant, during which a television set was stolen. Members immediately activated and responded to the complaint. Upon arrival and during further investigation, members established that a group of juveniles were involved in drug-related activities in the area. Upon noticing the presence of members, two suspects fled on foot, abandoning drugs. Members confiscated and booked in 15 Man Drugs tablets with the South African Police Service (SAPS) as exhibits. Members further assisted the complainant in opening a case of theft with SAPS. Further information led members to the Kgotsong area, where the suspects were traced and detained. SAPS members were present on scene and rendered assistance. The stolen television was recovered from a person who had purchased the item. A case was opened against this individual for possession of suspected stolen property, and the person who provided information was also arrested.
