A distress call was received regarding a burglary that took place on Dannhauser Street in Danville. Response team members found an elderly couple who had just returned from vacation, discovering several rooms in disarray.
Entry to the premises was gained through a neighboring house, with access into the home coming from the roof. A .22 pistol, which had been stored in a drawer, is reported missing. A possible suspect, known to the homeowners, has been seen multiple times in the yard and surrounding area.
At 19:57, Pretoria West SAPS arrived on the scene. By 20:40, the police had completed the docket (Mas 633/12/2024) and also opened a negligence docket before departing at 20:44.
