NCA Responder was alerted by his son about individuals running in the street. Upon investigation, he discovered that a nearby business had been robbed. The five suspects arrived in a Jetta, leaving the keys in the ignition while they committed the robbery. An SAP member witnessed the incident, removed the keys from the ignition, and notified SAPS.

After the robbery, the suspects realized they no longer had a vehicle and fled down the street, where they hijacked a Toyota.

The NCA Responder pursued them, but the suspects took a dirt road that was blocked by a stationary truck, preventing vehicles from passing. The suspects then abandoned the road, jumped out, and ran into a nearby field. A security firm joined the NCA Responder in searching the area for the suspects.

The suspects were seen moving between the reeds toward the water. SAPS quickly arrived to assist in the search. One suspect was apprehended from the reeds.

A helicopter was called in to aid the search. Another suspect was spotted by the helicopter, and ground units moved in to apprehend him. The search continued until just before dark, but no further arrests were made.

All responders returned to the crime scene, where fingerprints were collected from the Jetta. The suspects, along with the Jetta, were taken to the police station for processing. Everyone subsequently left the scene.

NCA extends its gratitude to all individuals involved for their cooperation and support.
