Numerous Emergency Services received calls about a positive CIT attack. Multitudes of Security Companies with Police and Ambulances made their way to the scene. When ambulances and response vehicles arrived, there was one patient injured (the passenger) in the incident. The staff member was immediately treated for his gunshot wounds. While the patient was being treated, police alerted everyone to a live bomb (breach charge) still attached to the vehicle. Medical, police and security personnel had to evacuate immediately and stay a distance of at least 50 meters from the vehicle in case the bomb went off. After 40 minutes, Netcare with the help of Advanced Life Support took one critical patient to hospital by ambulance.
NCA would like to thank all the role players present for their participation.
