Discovery of Newborn Baby – Danville, Pretoria
Location: Strachan Street, Danville Extension
Summary:
NCA Reaction members responded to an urgent call regarding a suspicious scene in Strachan Street, Danville Ext 5.
Upon arrival, members discovered several plastic bags that appeared to have been torn open by dogs. Nearby, the body of a newborn baby was found.
The following services were promptly dispatched to the scene:

SAPS – for securing and investigating the scene.

Gauteng Ambulance Services (Incident Ref: IR 100393) – for official declaration.

SAPS Pathology Unit and SAPS Forensic Services – for scene processing and evidence collection.
The scene was managed professionally, and all services withdrew after procedures were completed.
