Received phone call that a double story building was on fire and that women and children are trap inside, reaction units responded to the scene in Luipardsvlei in Krugersdorp to go and help. Upon arrival the fire brigade and ambulance was on scene as well as multiple security units. Everyone got out safely however one lady jumped from the second floor for her survival. She was immediately treated in the ambulance as she had jumped before ambulance and fire brigade arrived.
Unfortunately one life was lost in the fire. Condolences to the family and friends.
One suspect was detained that caused the fire. Case was handed over to Krugersdorp SAPS.
