NCA SUCCESS REPORT
GP RESPONSE TEAM
Date: 04/01/2025
Time: 16:30

The response team observed thick, black smoke rising, likely affecting the apartments around Kwagga’s Edge. The source of the smoke was traced to the Philendaba Brewery in Atteridgeville, where the factory was on fire.

Upon arrival, the team activated sirens and evacuated the premises. Emergency services were coordinated via Namola, with fire brigade dispatched under reference number 2501/0020 and medical services under reference number 101188.

Fire brigades from across Pretoria responded to the emergency, and both state and private ambulance services were on-site to assist. Multiple rescue units from various locations also joined the operation.

At the time of the report, no injuries had been reported. However, by 19:30, the fire remained uncontrolled, prompting the response members to withdraw.

NCA extends its gratitude to all participants for their efforts during this incident.
