GENDER BASED VIOLENCE AUGUST 2021 WOMEN S MONTH

“Specialised Security Services” is once again inundated with divorce cases and cases regarding gender-based violence. The spectrum of victims ranges from the poorest of the poor to the extremely wealthy. This trend is exasperated by the current economic turmoil (the recent looting and violence in Gauteng and KwaZulu Natal), the lingering effects of the Covid19-pandemic, devastating poverty, and loss of jobs. Women- as the centre of every household, continuously remain the target of abuse and violence.
