NCA SUCCESS REPORT
GP RESPONSE TEAM
12/08/2025
An urgent call for assistance was received in Brand Street, Danville.
On arrival, members were informed of an attempted rescue of a woman being held against her will, who was in phone contact with her mother. The scene then shifted to De Villiers Avenue, Danville, based on updated information.
At the Spar parking lot, a white Nissan bakkie approached. The mother immediately recognized her daughter inside the vehicle. Without the bakkie coming to a full stop, the mother pulled open the door, yanked her daughter from between two men, and rushed her into her own vehicle. Both women had to hastily leave the scene, with NCA responders following to ensure they reached a place of safety without further incident.
Meanwhile, members of Unchain Our Children blocked the white bakkie. Once the situation was secured, the mother and daughter departed safely, continuing their journey to Mozambique.
