GP RESPONSE TEAM
14/08/2025

A 26-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run incident. The driver attempted to flee the scene but was stopped by eyewitnesses before escaping.

A Reaction member on a response vehicle, together with other emergency services, rushed to the scene to assist the woman. Upon arrival, emergency personnel and the Reaction member found the patient in serious condition. Emer-G-Med contacted Netcare to request authorization for a helicopter. Authorization was granted within four minutes, and emergency personnel immediately began treating the patient to stabilize her condition.

The patient was loaded into an ambulance and transported approximately 300 meters to the N12 near the Kraft off-ramp, where the helicopter was scheduled to land. The road was secured by the police and multiple security companies. Five minutes later, the patient was transferred from the ambulance to the helicopter, which then airlifted her to Milpark Hospital.

NCA would like to thank all role players present for their professional participation.
