GP RESPONSE TEAM

NCA Response Members responded to a call regarding an illegal electricity connection in Elandspoort.
Upon arrival, the responder found that a resident had connected an electrical cable from a streetlight pole directly to a private residence. The local ward councillor was contacted, and photographic evidence of the illegal connection was submitted.
Approximately 20 minutes later, the City of Tshwane Metro Police Illegal Connection Unit arrived on the scene and arrested the individual responsible for the unlawful connection.
The suspect removed the cable and handed it over to Metro Police officers. A case of Tampering with Infrastructure was opened, and the cable was booked into the SAP13 evidence register.
Responders withdrew from the scene after ensuring all necessary procedures had been followed.
