GP RESPONSE TEAM

NCA Response Members received a call for assistance from a resident in Luttig Street, Pretoria West regarding suspected illegal electricity connections.
Upon arrival, Response Members observed disturbed soil around a power box. The cables in use did not match those used by the City of Tshwane Electricity Department, and the type of connections made also differed from official standards.

12:15 – Response Member contacted the Metro Police Illegal Connection Unit.

12:36 – Metro Police Illegal Electricity Connection Unit arrived on scene and commenced the investigation. A Metro Police Sergeant requested that a Response Member accompany him to the premises in question.

Necessary reports were completed, and all relevant offices were informed.

13:22 – All services departed the scene.
