Response members received a call for assistance in Longtom Avenue, Elandspoort. Upon arrival, members found two adult men busy with illegal electricity connections. Members immediately contacted Tshwane Metro Police Illegal Connections to report the situation. A group of community members and a security company began to gather and attempted to intimidate the reaction members. Members stood their ground, and the crowd eventually dispersed. The Councillor arrived on scene and removed the cables himself. The Councillor and reaction members then left the scene.
