NCA members received an urgent call for assistance in Danville, Pretoria West. Upon arrival on scene, members found an injured male pit bull dog presenting with injuries consistent with possible dog fighting. The animal had been safely restrained by residents in the area prior to responders’ arrival. The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) inspectors, as well as Underdogs, were contacted for assistance. An SPCA inspector arrived on scene, and the animal was successfully secured and loaded for transport to the SPCA in Silverton for further care and assessment.
The scene was subsequently cleared, and all services departed.
