NCA SUCCESS REPORT
GP RESPONSE TEAM
05 March 2026

NCA members received an urgent call for assistance regarding three Boerboel dogs running loose in the streets of Elandspoort, Pretoria, causing panic among residents in the area. With the assistance of community members, the dogs — one male and two females — were cornered in a closed-end street. The SPCA and other relevant organizations were contacted for assistance. Members managed to separate the dogs and secured the male dog at a place of safety while awaiting further assistance. The SPCA subsequently arrived on scene, and the two female dogs were safely restrained and loaded into the SPCA vehicle for transport. Response members then proceeded to the location where the male dog had been secured. Following a call for assistance posted on various community groups, the legal owner of the dogs arrived on scene. The dogs were handed over to the owner, and an initial inspection of the animals and their conditions was conducted. A full inspection was scheduled to take place the following day. All services subsequently cleared the scene.

NCA extends its sincere appreciation to all role players for their prompt response, effective coordination, and professional cooperation, which contributed to the successful resolution of this incident.
