Reaction members received an urgent call for assistance regarding a possible motor vehicle accident in Knight Street, Danville. Upon arrival on scene, members found an adult male who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. The individual was unsteady on his feet and repeatedly entered oncoming traffic, posing a danger to himself and motorists. With the assistance of community members, the individual was escorted out of the roadway. Despite these efforts, he returned to the road shortly thereafter. Approximately half a block further, the individual fell again and struck his head forcefully on the road surface. He became unconscious, and visible bleeding was observed from a head injury. In coordination with Namola, Gauteng Ambulance Services were dispatched to the scene. Gauteng Ambulance Services arrived on scene (Ambulance A0367-T), assessed the patient, and classified him as a P3 priority. The patient was subsequently transported to Pretoria West Hospital for further medical treatment.
