NCA SUCCESS REPORT
MISSING PERSONS TASK TEAM – FS
07/01/2025
22:08

At 20:07, the NCA received information that two young individuals, Martin Laing (21) and Talita (18), along with Talita’s older sister Chantel (23), had fled from Martin’s parents’ home in Bloemfontein. They were located at a motel near Kroonstad Shell Ultra City, which was confirmed by the NCA. The Missing Persons Task Team, led by Linda and Johan Louwrens, was dispatched to the scene, while Spaski monitored social media platforms for updates.

Upon arrival, it was confirmed that the three were present at the motel. They had secured a place to sleep and had something to eat. The young individuals appeared to be quite traumatized, and efforts were made to calm them down. It was proposed that Martin be put in direct contact with his family. After some discussion, Martin expressed his willingness to return to his parents’ home; however, Talita and Chantel were adamant about not wanting to return to Martin’s family.

Instead, they expressed a desire to go to their father, who resides in Nelspruit. Martin’s family was informed of the situation and agreed that he would stay the night at the motel, with plans for his family to pick him up the following morning. The daughters’ father was also informed and is aware of their journey to him.

At 21:44, the task team concluded their involvement, confirming all arrangements for Martin’s pickup and ensuring that the father of the daughters was aware of the circumstances. Since the individuals are adults and capable of making their own decisions, no further action was required from the team.

The NCA extends its gratitude to all participants for their cooperation and support.
