NCA SUCCESS REPORT
GP RESPONSE TEAM
DATE: 06/10/2025

Christene Mong (22) was last seen on 5 October 2025 at approximately 14:57 in Centurion. Her father contacted National Crime Assist (NCA) on Saturday, concerned about her safety. Shortly afterward, he reported having made contact with her and confirmed that she was safe.

On 6 October 2025, NCA was informed that Christene had not returned home or reported to work. Immediate follow-up action was taken, including contacting her employer and residence; however, no one could confirm her whereabouts. A missing person case was opened with the SAPS.

CCTV footage was obtained showing Christene entering a vehicle, but the quality of the footage was insufficient to determine further details. All available leads were pursued and investigated thoroughly.

Ongoing investigation and follow-up led NCA responders to the location where Christene was found. She was confirmed to be at a social gathering in the area. Her parents were immediately informed and contacted her via telephone. Christene Mong was subsequently transported to a hospital for assessment.

OUTCOME:
Missing person located safely. Family informed and in contact. Scene cleared. Responders stood down.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:
NCA thanks the Lyttleton Community Policing Forum (CPF) and all other role players for their cooperation and support throughout the investigation.
