NCA Responder arrived at the scene of a motorcycle accident on the Thaba Nchu/Tweespruit road, where a bridge is under construction requiring a detour.
The accident occurred when a vehicle traveling towards the motorcycle struck a rock, which then hit the rider’s visor. As a result, the motorcycle veered off the road and ended up in a ditch, landing on top of both the rider and their passenger. Other motorists stopped to assist in lifting the motorcycle off the injured.
The rider managed to get up but sustained a leg injury. An ambulance was called. Initially, the passenger remained still but later requested assistance to get up, also suffering from a leg injury. Ultimately, both patients decided to cancel the ambulance service, and the passenger was transported to Ladybrand by others in their group for medical attention. The rider attended to his motorcycle and indicated he was fine. The NCA Responder then withdrew from the scene.
NCA extends its gratitude to all individuals present for their assistance and cooperation.
