NCA Gauteng Response received multiple calls from residents in the area regarding a serious accident at the intersection of Commissioner and Atlas Roads in Boksburg.
Upon arrival at the scene, it was confirmed that a taxi, a private vehicle, and a truck had collided.
A total of seven patients were involved in the incident, of which two were classified as P4. An NCA Response member, equipped with an emergency vehicle, was on-site and assisted with scene safety and partitioning while waiting for emergency services to arrive.
With the combined efforts of the NCA Response team, forensics, and fire brigade, the deceased were respectfully removed from the scene.
During the incident, heavy traffic congestion occurred due to road closures, which unfortunately led to two “smash-and-grab” incidents being reported. Thanks to swift action, two male suspects were arrested on the scene.
