A community operation was conducted in Elandspoort with the objective of performing health inspections at local spaza shops.
During the operation in Martini Henry Street, expired canned food, rats, and mopeds were found. The premises lacked a valid business trading license, and no valid work permits were in place for foreign workers. A large number of SASSA and bank cards, RSA ID booklets, and copies of RSA ID documents were also discovered. Additionally, a significant quantity of Accurate and Codoxol with Codeine tablets was found, along with a pack of chocolates with a non-South African barcode. SAPS arrested and transported three illegal immigrants to SAPS Pretoria West. The NCA response team withdrew from the scene at 16:00.
NCA would like to express gratitude to all the role players involved for their contributions.
