NCA OPERATION SUCCESS REPORT

On 10/12/2024, the GP Response Team received a request for assistance with a police operation in Danville CBD. At a local hair salon, SAPS officers apprehended two suspects in connection with the sale of drugs. In a nearby manhole, pointed out by the NCA Response member, a large bag containing pre-packaged marijuana was discovered, linked to the two suspects, who were already in custody.
Additionally, a bin containing brooms was found to hold another large bag with pre-packed marijuana packets. A foreign national was charged for conducting illegal business in South Africa, pending verification of his documents at the police station.
At an address on Morkel Street, the operation encountered aggressive residents. During the search, large quantities of Crystal Meth were seized. Two males and one female were arrested on charges of drug trafficking.
The items seized included:
- 54 ziplock bags of marijuana (1 suspect)
- 7 packets of crystal powder (1 suspect)
- 6 Male Back Pills (1 suspect)
- 2 plastic ziplock bags with Crystal Meth (1 suspect)
The foreign national was later released after confirming his documents.
The operation concluded at 17:00, and the NCA Response member withdrew.
