FS RESPONSE TEAM

Responders received a call regarding suspected stolen copper pipes and cables. The Response Team immediately proceeded to the scene to investigate the matter. Upon arrival, responders made contact with an individual who was found in possession of the copper pipes and cables. SAPS was notified and responded to the scene to further investigate. The individual stated that he was working for a contractor. SAPS then transported the individual to the contractor he claimed to be employed by in order to verify whether the copper pipes and cables were legitimately obtained or if they were stolen. After SAPS took over the matter, responders stood down from the scene.
