PROJECT KNOCKS AND SCAMS AND EXTORTION BY SAPS IMPERSONATORS

For the past few months, the SSS task team has been involved in intensive investigations of SAPS impersonators . An ever increasing number of cases specific to this type of crime have been identified and are being thoroughly investigated . A new spin on the “knocks and scams” crimes include SAPS impersonators, trying to convince unsuspecting victims that they are investigating the very same “knocks and scams” crime, for which the victim fell.
