With social media activity at an all-time high, it is no surprise that the amount and variety of digital scams are rising. But just how much money do South African citizens lose to cyber criminals? In the past 90 days, South Africans have reported losses totalling over R10 million, which is the number reported to our organisation alone. The total reported to all organisations in South Africa is believed to be at least five times as much.
