If you have given your firearm to the SAPS during the amnesty period for safekeeping, thinking you will renew your firearm license in the meantime but you have not done this as yet it may be too late! If you have the necessary documentation that proves you are the legal owner of the firearm and you want to confirm that your firearm the one you handed in for safekeeping, is still safe and will not be destroyed, the n forward the necessary documentation to the address indicated in the article below. All confiscated firearms and ammunition/firearms handed in, that are not going to be used anymore, will also be destroyed on the date indicated in the article.
