A distress call regarding a theft on Van Den Berg Street in Danville was received. Upon arrival, a NCA Response member encountered a highly aggressive woman, identified by the complainant as the individual who allegedly stole a handbag, mobile phone, various personal items, a bank card, a pink purse, and a suitcase containing clothing.
The NCA Response member was attacked with objects and subsequently threatened with a purple knife. Additional assistance was requested, and backup was called in, along with SAPS via Namola. Inside the room, numerous used syringes, some still containing blood, were discovered. SAPS Pretoria West responded, opened a case docket, and the woman was taken into custody. At 14:13, both SAPS and the NCA Responder member left the scene.
At 15:19, the team returned to Van Den Berg Street in Danville. An accomplice in the theft was present, and upon investigation, a bank card and handbag were recovered, confirmed by the complainant as her property.
SAPS was called back to the scene, and at 15:53, the Response members withdrew again.
