The NCA FS Response Team responded to a robbery in progress at BG Scrap Metals, Bothaville. Upon arrival, the suspect had already fled the scene, escaping into a nearby informal settlement.
One individual was assaulted during the incident. The necessary medical and support services were promptly notified to provide care to the injured person.
Bystanders at the scene identified the suspect and confirmed they were known in the local community. All relevant information has been handed over to the South African Police Service (SAPS), who will be conducting a follow-up investigation and visiting the suspect.
