Reports were received regarding a stolen white Nissan NP 200 heading towards Amsterdam on the R56. Responders in Amsterdam were activated and began closing the road. Piet Retief Responders were also activated and stood by at the town entrance.
The vehicle was located, and one suspect was apprehended by the Amsterdam responders. The South African Police Service (SAPS) was notified, and the Piet Retief Responders subsequently withdrew.
Upon SAPS’s arrival, the case was handed over, and responders withdrew from the scene.
