Response members received a call for assistance in Pelser Avenue, Elandspoort.
Upon arrival, members found two black waste bins marked with house numbers which did not belong to the residents at that address. A CMS Investigation member was threatened with a knife, and it was quickly decided to contact SAPS for assistance. SAPS was dispatched through Namola.
SAPS Pretoria West PW47 arrived on scene. The necessary documents were completed, and the SAPS member granted permission for Reaction members to enter the premises and remove the bins.
Response members traced the owners of the bins to Van Jaarsveld Street, Danville.
Reaction members received another call reporting a stolen bin at the same premises in Pelser Street. The member negotiated with the individual, and the bin was handed over and removed from the property. The Response member then contacted the Director of Waste Management to trace the lawful owner.
