On 25/12/2024, the NCA Volksrust Response team received a distress call regarding a home invasion, also referred to as a “City Attack,” at a residence in Volksrust.
Upon arrival, it was determined that the suspect had already fled the scene. A suspect profile was immediately released, and while there were no serious injuries, the family was left deeply traumatized by the incident.
The response team conducted a search of the area and successfully apprehended the suspect. The suspect was then taken to the victim for identification, which was confirmed. The suspect was handed over to SAPS and taken into custody.
