A white Volkswagen City Golf was observed on the road just outside Bothaville, heading in the direction of Godsong. The responder suspected that the vehicle was being used to drop off individuals involved in cable theft.
Using night vision equipment, three suspects were identified at the Spilpunt area, actively removing cables. Rural Security units were notified, and drones were deployed to monitor the suspects’ movements.
Upon noticing the response units, the suspects fled into a nearby field. Recovered items included stolen electrical cables. The suspects were last seen fleeing in the direction of Leeudoringstad.
