Early this morning, a builder visiting a construction site on Jan van Riebeeck Crescent, Sandbaai, noticed building materials outside their designated areas. The builder reported this to the owner, who is currently on holiday, and requested our assistance in investigating.
In collaboration with a local security firm, we inspected the site and discovered that gas bottles had been moved from their original location and left near the boundary wall. The builder also noted that previously removed windows had been recovered.
The scene suggests that the intruders may have been interrupted, leaving the items behind.
We have secured the gate and will install temporary CSI cameras until the owner returns, after which we will discuss a more permanent solution.
