FS RESPONSE TEAM

The NCA FS Response Team received a call from the owner of BG Scrap Metals in Bothaville, reporting that an individual had brought in an item suspected to be related to a firearm.
Upon arrival, the responder identified the item as a magazine belonging to an R5 assault rifle. The magazine bore no visible markings. According to the seller, he allegedly found the item in the nearby informal settlement.
Following standard protocol to ensure the safety of the business and staff, the area was secured, and SAPS was notified. Upon arrival, SAPS took control of the scene, and the suspect was taken in for further questioning. The matter remains under investigation.
The NCA extends its appreciation to the business owner, SAPS, and all involved parties for their cooperation and swift action in handling the situation professionally.
