Reaction members received a call regarding a suspicious vehicle that had entered a property in Kromdraai without permission. The driver and two other occupants fled the scene.
The driver later returned, claiming he knew the property owners; however, the owner confirmed he did not know the driver. The driver stated that his vehicle had broken down.
Upon further inspection, a bolt cutter and crowbar were found in the vehicle. When SAPS arrived, the tools were initially not visible. A SAPS officer searched the vehicle and recovered the equipment hidden behind the seat.
The suspect was arrested by SAPS, and the vehicle was removed from the property.
