THREE ARRESTS FOLLOWING BURGLARY AT MUNICIPAL STORAGE FACILITY – BOTHAVILLE
At approximately 21:34, the NCA FS Response Team received a report from a community member regarding gunshots heard in the central town area of Bothaville.
Upon investigation, Nala Municipality security guards were found patrolling the area with flashlights. The guards confirmed that a positive burglary had occurred at the municipal storage facilities.
The NCA responder on scene immediately requested backup from fellow NCA responders and notified the South African Police Service (SAPS).
Upon arrival of NCA and SAPS support, it was determined that the suspects were still inside the premises. Responders managed to contain the situation and hold the suspects within the facility while awaiting access keys.
Once access was granted, SAPS proceeded to make three successful arrests on site.
It was later discovered that a second break-in attempt had also occurred at the premises. SAPS is currently conducting a follow-up investigation. The NCA Response Team has officially withdrawn from the scene.
